Wirral Construction Committee has Inaugural Meeting

The Wirral Construction Forum is a committee established to ensure local companies benefit from construction activities in Wirral. The committee will meet on a monthly basis having had their first meeting in the past week at Egerton House.  With the proposed future planning and regeneration projects in Wirral it’s more important than ever that local business is properly represented.

Area Director of Morgan Sindall Barry Roberts, originally from Wirral and forum chair said;

“I am passionate about the area and take my responsibilities as chair of the Forum seriously. We are very pleased with the start we have made and we are committed to drive the value of projects on the Wirral through the local supply chain. We are determined to put Wirral people and companies first.”

“This is not a talking shop. We are going to establish concrete opportunities for local businesses to win work and for individuals to get high quality well-paid jobs in the borough”

Peel Land & Property also have a position on the forum in the form of Wirral Waters Director of Development Richard Mawdsley who told the Wirral Globe that “ it’s vital with regeneration that spend is retained locally.” he went on to say “the establishment of the Forum is long overdue and I’m pleased to be putting the weight of Peel behind it”
