During the opening week of the 2018 International Business Festival, Wirral Chamber of Commerce and members of its Construction Sector Forum, were visited by the Shanghai Hing Wah Honeycomb Technology Development Co.
Paula Basnett, CEO of Wirral Chamber of Commerce welcomed the delegation to Birkenhead, which comprised, Daniel Chou, President of Hing Wah, together with Vivian Chou, Director of Marketing, and Colin Chou, Deputy General Manager.
Hing Wah Honeycomb Technology Development Co specialises in designing, producing and selling all types of high-end honeycomb panels. It participated in designing and manufacturing honeycomb panels which have been used in many large-scale projects both at home and abroad, including Russia, Japan and Australia.
The company gave a presentation about its operations, and highlighted the benefits of honeycomb technology, which can offer reductions in both construction time and energy consumption. It also demonstrated the Foldable House initiative, an expanding mobile home which offers many diverse uses for both business and leisure.

It was a great opportunity for the delegation to meet with a number of members from our Construction Forum, discuss honeycomb technology, and to make and potential links.”
Hing Wah has formed a manufacturing learning research network with the New and High Building Technology Design Institute of Tongji University and The Department of Construction Structure of Southeast University, and also developed a honeycomb panels quality inspecting and testing centre.
The 2018 International Business Festival runs between 12th – 28th June, a nine-day programme centred around high-growth industry sectors. Each day offers four dynamic areas of activity for delegates to participate in Knowledge Hub, Futures Stage, Investor Programme and UK innovation Hub.
