The UTS foundation has been created to provide accessible and free structured coaching, health and well-being sessions to vulnerable community groups across the Wirral. The UTS Foundation works in partnership with a range of agencies, such as the NHS, police, youth service, youth offending teams, schools, colleges and youth clubs to help and support these people.
UTS also has excellent links with partner agencies and local clubs, which will allow the Foundation to signpost individuals to sports, activities, clubs and professional groups who can work with the Foundation to help these people to reach their goals and full potential.
“I am absolutely delighted to donate the winnings of the Fantasy Football league to such a worthwhile cause that is supporting vulnerable groups in our locality” said Chris Hughes
Tony Berry, Project Manager of UTS commented; “UTS relies massively upon the generosity and support of the wonderful Wirral public who help us deliver fully funded programmes of health, fitness and wellbeing sessions, which helps Foundation Members recover from very serious illness.
Sadly, post cancer fatigue can leave people feeling very tired, lethargic and depressed and yoga is an excellent way to relax, stretch and strengthen muscles, improve co-ordination and raise cancer patients’ spirits, which will enable them to recover physically, mentally and spiritually."
The donation from Chris at Regal Wholesale will be used to pay for a series of additional weekly yoga sessions, which many of our cancer patients already regularly enjoy. We cannot thank him enough”
