The Liverpool City Region Capital Grant Fund, delivered in partnership with St Helens Chamber has been launched to support small and medium sized businesses operating primarily in B2B sectors with high growth potential that are looking to invest in their future plans for expansion through the purchase of plant and equipment or other fixed assets.
The new Capital Grant Fund is part of the European Regional Development Fund and is open to SMEs based in/relocating to the Liverpool City Region, excluding Halton, that are looking to develop their business with capital investments leading to the creation of permanent sustainable new jobs.
The fund is open to a wide range of businesses but those operating in the following sectors are not eligible to apply; retail front office including hospitality and leisure, agriculture, fisheries, coal, steel, defence, automotive production, shipbuilding, banks and insurance, school age education providers, fleet purchases in road transport sector, social enterprises including charities and not for profit organisations.
The grant will be open to applications on 1st July 2021.
St Helens Chamber is looking to undertake a full appraisal of applications from businesses in readiness for consideration by the Investment Panel once the Grant Funding Agreement from the Combined Authority has been received and accepted.
