A collection of Wirral businesses took part in a free HR workshop as a Chester-based solicitor brought his firm’s popular sessions to the region for the first time this year.
Aaron & Partners’ employment law specialist, Paul Hennity, who lives on the Wirral, decided to take the workshop on the road following its success in Shrewsbury – where the firm has another office – over the past two years.
The first of the 2019 ‘HR Lunch Club’ roundtable events took place at the Heswall Golf Club and focused on acceptable behaviour in the workplace.
Paul said: “One of the things we’ve realised from delivering these workshops is that a lot of HR professionals and business owners need a forum where they can openly discuss issues they are facing and get support from their peers as well as legal expertise.
“It was fantastic to be able to take these interactive sessions on the road and use some of the feedback from our sessions in Shrewsbury to help us deliver a great series of workshops for business owners in Wirral.
“We’ve received some really positive responses on the back of this first seminar with delegates describing it as ‘informative’, ‘personable’ and ‘accessible’, and following its success, we have already confirmed the date for the next workshop.”
The next event on the Wirral is scheduled for March 20 and will focus on employee wellbeing and mental health in the workplace.
Each future bi-monthly workshop will focus on a different topic, including themes such as effective grievance handling, managing sickness absence, disciplinary procedures and social media in employment law.
