Tell us about your company?

2Summitup! I am a Business Coach/Trainer/Mentor and my expertise lies in sales and leadership development.  I launched my business earlier this year after I gained my coaching qualifications in Personal Performance/Executive Leadership and Accelerated Learning and teamed that up with my all my hands on experience over the past 20 years of coaching, training and mentoring others.

Ironically I have never considered myself to be a sales person, but more of a problem solver, solution provider and someone who loves to help others. My sales training & coaching which is relatable to everyone who has a product or a service to sell starts with the customer in mind, what is their want or need, and why would they choose you, and how do you ensure that you support that.

I love the diversity of what I do. My clients range from start ups to larger companies and it is very much a bespoke service dependent on the client’s needs.  It can be how to create ‘The perfect pitch’ to identifying why a team isn’t working in synergy and many more things in between.

I love those ‘lightbulb moments’ when people get it, sometimes all it takes is another voice, another perspective, a someone to bounce your thoughts and ideas off.

Based on market research I have recently produced a FREE sales webinar, which talks about ‘The why behind the buy’ and ‘The Perfect Pitch’ I have also ran this as a workshop in Liverpool City Centre and will be booking in more dates in the future on The Wirral.

What is your background

After leaving a 14 year career in Banking to have my children, I then ‘landed’ in the Direct Selling world which was incredibly flexible, and worked around my family. It was here that I found my passion for ‘selling’. I had the privilege of working for The Body Shop at Home. Anita Roddick the founder was one of the most inspirational people I have ever met, and I like many others learnt so much from her. During my 14 years with The Body Shop at Home I built a £4million business, and received two awards from the Direct Selling Association. In my career I have sold products, opportunities, concepts, change, services and myself!

Where do you want the company to be in two years time?

I have so many projects on my list that I want to launch over the next couple years, but to give you a flavor of what that looks like. I will introduce more webinars, around sales and leadership which are accessible to people all over the world, and continue to coach individuals who want the extra one to one support. I will be introducing bespoke Company training programme, which can be done via webinar or face to face, and continue to support  Direct Selling businesses whether that be start up or leadership training or just a review of the current training programme.

Supporting people at the start of their journey is so important to me, it can be very lonely out there, and I have plans how to make that less daunting – all will be revealed in time!

I am currently writing a ‘new business Sales workshop’ to present to Companys who work with new start ups who would like to offer this as part of their support package. The more support we can give people, the stronger they become giving them great foundations to build their business on.

If you could suggest one thing to Government to help business growth what would it be?

Supporting with costs in running your business in the early days is essential when cashflow is tight.  Vouchers to use towards the costs of the many services that you may require as a new business, i.e. marketing, training, accountant services etc would encourage everyone to get the support, giving them a strong start.

What do you do to relax away from the office?

I love spending time with my family, eating out and entertaining at home in equal measures. A long walk along the waterfront is always great thinking time for me.

What hobbies do you have?

Cooking, reading, listening to music and travelling to new places.

Have you any hidden talents?

Writing is a passion of mine, and I love a good game of table tennis!

Any final thoughts?

‘None of us have all the answers, we just need to ask the right people to help us find them’
