Visitor Economy Sector Forum

8th July 2019 @ 17:30,

Whilst Visitor Economy is growing at an average of 6.6% year on year, there is still a need to raise the profile of Wirral as a place to visit and stay. Wirral Peninsula’s tourism sector is currently worth over £426 million, employs over 5,347 full-time equivalent jobs, and attracts over 8.8 million day and short break visitors each year.

2019 is set to be an outstanding year for Wirral. As Borough of Culture for Liverpool City Region, we have the chance to showcase our amazing culture, heritage and sport in Wirral. Throughout the year there is a huge opportunity for our businesses to take part and showcase themselves at one of the many events planned. This is your chance to be part of an incredible year, and we would like to encourage you to play a part in Wirral's ambitious plans for economic growth.

Wirral Chamber of Commerce is a committed partner of Wirral’s 2020 Vision, Investment Strategy and Growth Plan.  We want to work with this crucial sector, keeping members informed of local developments, providing a forum that will inform, educate, upskill, share best practice and raise awareness of the professional service sector that we have in Wirral.

The Wirral Chamber of Commerce Visitor Economy Forum will give members a platform to raise, discuss and address any potential issues and barriers to growth within the sector
