The £39m Chrysalis Fund was established in 2012 to kick start regeneration in the Liverpool City Region. The fund provides repayable funding to commercial and industrial property developments that support job creation and economic growth.
Investments to date have ranged from £1m to £10m, committed to expanding manufacturers and property developers for speculative new space and towards major strategic projects such as Liverpool’s exhibition centre extension. Chrysalis funding is structured to meet the individual needs of each project, helping to drive forwards viable schemes.
The Chrysalis Fund is backed by the European Investment Bank and European Regional Development Fund under the JESSICA (Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas) programme, and the Homes and Communities Agency. The fund is managed by the Igloo Consortium comprising Igloo Regeneration, Bilfinger GVA and RBC Capital Markets, and operates in partnership with the Liverpool City Region LEP and local authorities.
The fund has a mandate to invest in the city’s growth until 2022. For more information, please visit www.chrysalisfund.co.uk.
